Grote Clubactie raises record 27.3 million euros across the Netherlands

The annual Grote Clubactie has raised a record-breaking 27.3 million euros nationwide in the Netherlands. A total of 6,990 associations, including sports, culture, and hobby clubs, participated in the lottery campaign.

Since 2020, the total proceeds from the initiative have nearly tripled. Starting this year, the portion of proceeds distributed to participating associations has been increased to 85 percent. These funds are intended to help clubs manage rising costs, maintain facilities, purchase new equipment, and organize activities, especially as subsidies and volunteer availability face increasing pressure.

Local results varied by region. In Goeree-Overflakkee, associations raised over 73,000 euros, while in Nieuwegein, clubs collected approximately 77,800 euros. Notable contributors in Nieuwegein included the gymnastics club MOVEO, which raised roughly 12,900 euros, and Nieuwegein Handball Association, which raised over 6,300 euros.
