Grottaglie Airport: Senator urges government to approve commercial flights

Senator Mario Turco, Vice President of the Movimento 5 Stelle, is urging the Italian government to approve scheduled commercial flights at Grottaglie Airport. He proposes using Public Service Charges (OSP), a model already utilized by other Italian airports, to facilitate the transition to a permanent passenger hub.

Turco criticized the majority for rejecting previous amendments to the Sport and Infrastructure decrees intended to accelerate this process. He noted that the recent Mediterranean Games demonstrated the airport's capacity to handle passenger traffic and warned against allowing the new terminal to become an unused facility.
