Grottaglie hosts presentation of Federico D’Addato’s book on Foibe history

In Grottaglie, author Federico D’Addato presented his book, ‘La Chiave. Foibe, il confine della memoria’, at the Terrazza Caretta. The event, organized by the Centro Culturale ‘Giuseppe Battista’ as part of the 30th anniversary of Anteas Grottaglie, focused on the historical complexities of the 20th century, specifically the Foibe massacres and the Julian-Dalmatian exodus.

The presentation included historical analysis from Professor Vito Fumarola and a direct testimony from Marisa Bilucaglia, an exile who recounted the personal and collective trauma of being forced to abandon her home and land. Local officials and cultural leaders emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory for future generations.
