Grottaminarda proposes new foundation following record Festone festival

The town of Grottaminarda has concluded its five-day Festone festival, which officials described as a record-breaking edition. The event featured musical performances by artists such as Clementino, Fargetta, and Le-One, alongside religious rites, band concerts, street food, and a luna park.

Mayor Marcantonio Spera issued a formal letter of commendation to the Festone Committee, praising their tireless work and enthusiasm. The Mayor also extended thanks to local citizens, business owners, and various emergency and security services—including the Municipal Police, Firefighters, Carabinieri, and Public Assistance—for maintaining order during the high influx of visitors. Due to the success of the event, the municipality has proposed the creation of a ‘Fondazione Festone’ to support future initiatives.
