Grottammare receives €200,000 to combat youth addiction

The Municipality of Grottammare has been awarded €200,000 in ministerial funds to implement the R.E.T.E. project (Relazioni, Educazione, Territorio, Esperienze). The initiative aims to support younger generations by addressing both pathological and digital addictions.

The funding, provided by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department for Policies against Drugs and Other Dependencies, will be invested over a two-year period. Following a budget variation scheduled for the city council meeting on October 27, the municipality will sign a formal convention with the ministerial department to begin activities.

The project utilizes an integrated model of prevention involving a broad alliance, including the Carabinieri, local schools, third-sector organizations, and various cooperatives. Key actions will include street education and the strengthening of youth information services.
