Groupama launches tree planting initiative across France

The insurance group Groupama has launched the ‘Plantez des milliers’ (Plant thousands) initiative, offering the free distribution of 10,000 trees and shrubs across various French regions to support biodiversity and forest resilience.

In the Ariège region, Groupama d’Oc is distributing field maple plants to help preserve forest heritage and mitigate the impact of annual wildfires. In the Paris-Val de Loire region, the initiative involves 10,000 plants produced in Loir-et-Cher in partnership with Pépinières Bauchery. This regional effort includes local species such as sweet cherry, field maple, common hornbeam, holly, and viburnum opulus.

Participants can reserve plants through Groupama websites, with pickups scheduled at local agencies starting in November. The program also includes collaborative planting actions with local authorities, associations, and schools to strengthen local ecosystems.
