Groupe 1981 announces 2026-2027 strategy and partnership call

Groupe 1981 has announced its strategic orientations for the 2026-2027 season, highlighting a push for collaborative industry partnerships and significant programming changes. Olivia Valli, Deputy General Manager, called on independent and national radio stations to experiment with shared event partnerships starting in 2027. This initiative aims to counter the growing influence of streaming platforms like Spotify and Deezer by leveraging radio's ability to discover artists and mobilize audiences through joint coverage of cultural and sporting events.

The group's expansion includes the recent integration of Hit West and Océane, formerly owned by Groupe SIPA Ouest-France. Financial indicators for 2025 show the group achieved a turnover of €23.7 million and an operating surplus of €4 million, reaching 6 million weekly listeners.

Programming updates include extended morning shows from 6:00 to 11:00 on several stations, including the introduction of all-female morning lineups on ADO and Voltage. Other changes involve new musical segments on Latina and Oüi FM, as well as the development of local chronicles on Wit FM and BlackBox.
