Groupe ADP signs €8.2 bn deal to modernize Paris' Roissy and Orly airports

The French state and airport operator Groupe ADP have reached an agreement on an €8.2 billion investment programme to modernise Paris' two main airports, Roissy (Charles‑de‑Gaulle) and Orly. The framework contract, covering 2027‑2034, will be finalised before year‑end and includes upgrades to infrastructure, digital systems and safety equipment, as well as expanded capacity and improved passenger flow. Financing will rely on a revised fee structure for airlines, with average airport charges set to rise by inflation plus 2.1 percentage points over the eight‑year period. Implementation will be staged in three phases, starting with border and security controls, followed by infrastructure optimisation and inter‑modal transport enhancements. The plan aims to boost the competitiveness of the airports while limiting tariff impacts for carriers and travellers. Regulatory approval from the French transport authority (ART) and final consultation with airlines are still required before the agreement can be signed and take effect on 1 January 2027.
