Groupe Dynamite raises outlook as Transat reports quarterly loss

Groupe Dynamite Inc. reported a significant increase in second-quarter profits, rising to $113.4 million from $63.9 million in the same period last year. The clothing retailer, which operates brands such as Garage and Dynamite, saw revenue grow to $423.6 million, up from $326.4 million a year ago. Following these results, the company raised its full-year revenue growth guidance for the 2026 financial year to between 25% and 27%, compared to previous estimates of 22% to 25%.

In contrast, Transat A.T. Inc. reported a third-quarter loss of $106.6 million, a decline from a profit of $399.8 million in the prior year. Despite the loss, the company's revenue increased to $792.7 million from $766.3 million in the previous year. Transat has also secured an additional $250 million in emergency federal aid.
