The mutation has a 0.5% hatch chance from any egg, including the Colossus Egg. Players can identify an Inverted chicken by a light blue mutation marker in their inventory.

To optimize the process, players can use a specific farming method involving the Plush Chick and Baron Cluck. Because the Plush Chick has the lowest egg-laying cooldown and the Baron Cluck can be used to ensure the production of Fortune Eggs, this method increases efficiency. Fortune Eggs have a limited hatch pool consisting only of Legendary, Mythic, and Secret rarities, which helps streamline the search for Inverted variants. Once an Inverted hen is obtained, it can be fused into a main hen to attempt to pass on the mutation.
