Growing Up Greene fundraiser begins with 67-mile Warrior Trail walk

Aaron Houser, Executive Director of the child advocacy nonprofit Growing Up Greene, and Coalbie, the organization’s child therapy dog, are walking the 67-mile Warrior Trail to raise funds. The trek aims to support a $1 million expansion project located in the former Greene County office of the Observer-Reporter in Waynesburg.

The expansion project intends to transform the Church Street facility into a centralized hub for child welfare agencies and service providers, offering families a more streamlined experience. Since its inception eight years ago, Growing Up Greene has grown from a single program to seven, including a winter gear distribution program that has increased tenfold since 2020.
