Gürpınar infrastructure and service issues highlighted by HÜDA PAR

Yunus Uygun, the HÜDA PAR district chairman for Gürpınar, has issued an urgent call to authorities to address several critical infrastructure and service deficiencies in the Van province district.

Key issues identified include an inadequate healthcare system, where the existing 10-bed hospital is insufficient for the growing population. Uygun also highlighted problems with drinking water access, frequent electricity and internet outages that negatively impact students, and the lack of a modern intercity bus terminal, which causes traffic safety concerns.

Furthermore, Uygun emphasized the need for a modern livestock market to support the local agricultural economy, particularly for producers of the Norduz sheep. To boost economic development, he urged officials to invest in tourism by better utilizing historical sites such as Hoşap Castle and Çavuştepe Castle.
