Grumo Appula to host Festival dello Sport for social inclusion

The Festival dello Sport will take place in Grumo Appula, Bari, from August 31 to September 6, 2026. Organized by the Tonino Miani Aps association, the event is supported by the Puglia Region, the Metropolitan City of Bari, and the Municipality of Grumo Appula.

The festival aims to promote sport as a tool for social and educational growth, focusing on community building and inclusion rather than just competition. The program includes tournaments, sports activities, exhibitions, and meetings held across various locations, including Piazza Vittorio Veneto, the local sports field, and Piazza della Libertà.

Antonio Giampietro, the regional guarantor for the rights of persons with disabilities, emphasized that sport serves as a social lever to foster authentic relationships and shared community spaces.
