Global and Polish companies report diverse mid-year financial results

Various companies across the technology, finance, and industrial sectors have released their mid-year and quarterly financial results.

In the technology sector, Synopsys reported a 42% increase in quarterly revenue to $2.477 billion, driven largely by artificial intelligence demand and the integration of Ansys. Its Design Automation segment saw a 53% jump.

In Poland, several firms reported significant shifts. XTB saw its net profit rise by over 127% to 492.19 million PLN in Q2. Grupa AB reported nine-month revenues of 13.56 billion PLN, bolstered by public orders for AI-related hardware. Atrem reported a net profit of 11.2 million PLN for the first half of the year, while Mirbud saw a 24% increase in net profit to 44 million PLN.

Conversely, some sectors faced challenges. The Polish banking sector saw a nearly 9% drop in net profit to 21.4 billion PLN, primarily due to an increase in the CIT tax rate from 19% to 30%. In the food industry, Gobarto reported a net loss of 22.6 million PLN due to a difficult pork market in Europe. Additionally, the tire market showed divergence, with a 11% increase in SUV tire sales despite a 2% overall decline in passenger vehicle tires.
