Grupa WB to premiere Gladius 2 strike system

Grupa WB, Poland’s largest private defense company, has announced the upcoming premiere of the Gladius 2 strike system at the International Defence Industry Exhibition. The new jet-powered, flying-wing drone is designed for mid-strike missions with a range of up to 300 kilometers, a significant increase from the 100-kilometer range of the previous Gladius 1 version. The system features low radar visibility and is fully compatible with the Topaz combat management system.

The Polish military has already ordered 12 battery modules of the Gladius system under the SAFE program, a contract valued at 9.3 billion PLN net. This follows a previous 2022 agreement for four modules. The Gladius 2 is entering serial production and is intended to be a key component of the company’s export strategy, with discussions currently underway with several potential foreign buyers.

In addition to the Gladius 2, Grupa WB plans to debut the StormRider 550, a smaller maritime drone, at the upcoming defense exhibition.
