Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico renews safety certifications for Tijuana and Los Cabos airports

Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) announced the renewal of the Civil Aerodrome Certificates for the International Airports of Tijuana and Los Cabos, issued by Mexico's Federal Aviation Agency (AFAC). The certifications confirm that both terminals meet national and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards in design, infrastructure, maintenance, visual aids, electrical systems, fire‑suppression services, equipment and overall airport operation.

The renewal keeps GAP’s certification active across all 12 airports it operates, making it the first Mexican airport operator to maintain continuous certification for its entire network since 2019. GAP director general Raúl Revuelta Musalem said the renewal reflects the company's permanent commitment to operational safety through ongoing internal audits, inspections and continuous improvement. In 2025, Tijuana handled more than 12.6 million passengers and Los Cabos about 7.5 million, underscoring the airports’ importance for national and cross‑border connectivity.
