Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico treats 722 million liters of wastewater

In 2025 Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) treated 722 million liters of wastewater, representing about 55% of the water used in its airport operations. The company supplied roughly 1.296 billion liters of water across its network, with 72% of that volume serving its Mexican airports and 28% serving operations in Jamaica. GAP’s airports handled 63.7 million passengers that year.

GAP highlighted the initiative in its 2025 Sustainability Report, noting the launch of a strategic water‑management tool to identify, prioritize and execute water‑related projects. The approach is built on three principles: security of supply through diversified sources, efficient and sustainable use via preventive maintenance and leak detection, and circularity by expanding reuse and monitoring capabilities. “In GAP we understand that responsible water management is a core part of our sustainability commitment and long‑term vision,” said Raúl Revuelta Musalem, GAP’s director general.

The company said the treated volume reflects concrete progress toward more resilient and future‑ready airports.
