Grupo Austral reports R$ 52.9 million profit for H1 2026

Grupo Austral, comprising Austral Seguradora and Austral Resseguradora, reported a consolidated net profit of R$ 52.9 million for the first half of 2026. The group's equity reached R$ 885.7 million by the end of June.

The results were driven by operational profitability, strict loss ratio control, and disciplined administrative expense management. Additionally, the group saw a 13% increase in financial results due to higher interest rates and improved cash generation, bringing its financial asset portfolio to R$ 2.4 billion.

Austral Seguradora specifically reported a net profit of R$ 14.4 million, exceeding its budget targets by 10%. The insurer maintained market leadership in the Energy/Oil segment with R$ 468.4 million in premiums issued. Other notable performances included R$ 221.0 million in Surety Bond emissions and R$ 9.5 million in Financial Lines premiums.
