Grupo Bom Jesus celebrates 50 years of agribusiness expansion
Grupo Bom Jesus is celebrating 50 years of operation, marking its evolution from a 483-hectare family farm established by Luiz Vigolo in 1976 to one of Brazil’s largest agricultural groups.
The company currently manages 390,000 hectares across the states of Mato Grosso, Bahia, and Piauí, focusing on the production of soy, corn, cotton, and seeds, as well as crop-livestock integration. The group employs more than 5,000 people.
To support its next phase of growth, the company is prioritizing professional management and strengthened governance. In 2025, Grupo Bom Jesus formalized a Shareholders' Agreement to establish guidelines for succession, operational continuity, and alignment between the two controlling family groups.
