Grupo Cibest proposes extraordinary dividend after Banistmo sale

Grupo Cibest has announced a proposal to distribute an extraordinary dividend to its shareholders following the sale of Banistmo. The proposal, to be presented at an extraordinary assembly on August 26, suggests a dividend of COP$1,270.3 per share, totaling approximately COP$1.2 trillion (roughly USD$380 million). If approved, the payment is scheduled for September 1, 2026.

The announcement coincides with the group's second-quarter 2026 financial results. As of June, the holding reported assets of USD$105.5 billion and a semi-annual profit of USD$1.1 billion, representing a 36.2% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The group's credit portfolio stood at USD$76.2 billion, showing a 25% annual growth.
