Grupo Consenso implements diversification strategy for growth
Grupo Consenso, an Ecuadorian conglomerate established in 1949, is pursuing a growth strategy centered on market diversification and international expansion. The group operates across the industrial, retail, mobility, and service sectors, employing approximately 3,200 people.
A key example of this expansion is Indurama, which has seen its international sales grow from roughly 20% of total sales four years ago to nearly 40% today. CEO Luis Ríos stated that diversification involves both entering new markets and deepening existing business capabilities to build sustainable, competitive companies.
Looking toward 2026, the group plans to direct investments into strengthening manufacturing plants, technology, and logistics. Additional focus areas include developing new commercial formats, customer management tools, and talent development to improve operational efficiency.
