Grupo Costa acquires Incka Foods and Granja El Nido in Paraguay

Spain-based Grupo Costa has acquired the operations of Incka Foods slaughterhouse and Granja El Nido from Grupo Concepción. The transaction is estimated to be valued at approximately US$ 200 million.

This acquisition marks a significant expansion for Grupo Costa, representing its first major international industrial move outside of Spain. The company intends to use the existing infrastructure for genetics, breeding, fattening, and processing to accelerate the development of an integrated production complex. The primary goal is to establish a production platform for exporting pork to international markets.

For Grupo Concepción, the sale provides an estimated US$ 200 million liquidity injection as part of a financial reorganization process. This move allows the group to refocus its core activities on the beef sector and renegotiate commitments with creditors.
