Grupo Fuertes acquires Jamones Albarracín

Grupo Fuertes has acquired Jamones Albarracín, a leading Spanish company specializing in ham curing based in Teruel. This acquisition allows the holding company to enter the ham toll manufacturing (maquila) sector and strengthens its core business operations.

Jamones Albarracín, owned by the Dobón family, has 25 years of experience and operates three production centers with a curing capacity of up to four million pieces. The company holds international IFS and BRC certifications for food safety and quality. Following the acquisition, Jamones Albarracín will continue its current operations, serving both existing and future clients.

Grupo Fuertes plans to invest in the expansion and modernization of the facilities to increase production capacity. This move also supports ElPozo Alimentación, a company within the Grupo Fuertes group, in developing its strategic ‘Proyecto Jamón’. This transaction follows the group's recent entry into the poultry market through the acquisition of Tovalsa and Paasa.
