Grupo Fuertes acquires Nutrave to expand poultry market presence

Grupo Fuertes has acquired Nutrave, a poultry company based in Bargas, Toledo, specializing in the integrated processing of chicken and hen meat. The acquisition aims to strengthen Grupo Fuertes' position in the strategic poultry market by ensuring control and traceability throughout the entire production chain.

Nutrave manages an integrated production model, including the manufacture of its own feed and the incubation and processing of its birds. Following the transition, the three founding families of Nutrave will remain in the capital to support the Fuertes family. The company also plans to maintain the entire existing workforce.

This move follows Grupo Fuertes' recent acquisitions of the family-owned companies Tolvasa and Paasa in Albacete. The company noted that these acquisitions serve as a counterweight to the recent trend of international operators purchasing major Spanish poultry firms, helping to keep production in the hands of Spanish family businesses.
