Grupo Gazpro inaugurates $45M Frigostar cold storage center in Ciudad Juárez

Grupo Gazpro has inaugurated Frigostar, a specialized cold storage and preservation center in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. The project represents a 45 million dollar investment aimed at strengthening the logistics infrastructure and supply chains for the food, agricultural, perishable, and pharmaceutical industries.

The facility features a 14,476-square-meter cold warehouse with 20,540 pallet positions, eight temperature-controlled chambers, four blast freezing rooms, and 23 loading docks. It utilizes eco-friendly CO2 refrigeration technology and a digital WMS system for inventory traceability.

Located near the San Jerónimo-Santa Teresa crossing, the center is strategically positioned to facilitate binational trade, allowing goods to reach the United States in less than 15 minutes. Officials, including Chihuahua Governor Maru Campos and Mayor Héctor Ortiz Orpinel, noted that the facility enhances the region's competitiveness and supports the economic growth of the border corridor.
