Grupo Giassi to invest R$ 70 million in Cocal do Sul wholesale unit

Grupo Giassi has announced a R$ 70 million investment to establish a new Combo Atacadista wholesale unit in Cocal do Sul, Brazil. The facility will feature 4,000 square meters of sales area and 250 covered parking spaces.

The project is expected to create approximately 150 direct jobs. According to Antonio Zanette, the company's director of assets, the decision was driven by the city's growing GDP, which has surpassed R$ 1 billion, and a local market that is not yet saturated. The company noted that residents currently travel to neighboring cities like Içara and Criciúma to fulfill their shopping needs, indicating existing demand within the municipality.
