Grupo Lusiaves completes acquisition of Spanish Padesa

Portuguese agrifood company Grupo Lusiaves has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in the Spanish poultry operator Padesa (Pavo y Derivados). The deal received approval from the Spanish National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC).

While the transaction value was not disclosed, the acquisition includes a minority participation from Grupo Valora. The Salvadó and Centelles families will remain shareholders and continue to be responsible for Padesa's management.

Padesa operates 15 companies with approximately 3,000 employees and consolidated sales exceeding 550 million euros. Following this move, Grupo Lusiaves will employ roughly 9,000 people across Portugal, Spain, and France, reaching a global turnover of approximately 1.5 billion euros. This acquisition follows the group's previous purchases of Grupo Oblanca and Avícola Segoviana in 2025, as part of a strategy to strengthen its presence in the Iberian and European poultry markets.
