Grupo Marechal meets with Argentine Church to discuss political reform
Delegates from the Grupo Marechal, representing Peronist leaders from 17 Argentine provinces, met with representatives of the Argentine Episcopal Conference in Buenos Aires. During the meeting, which included Monseñor Pedro Cannavó and Ayelén Tomassini, the group addressed the current national situation and emphasized the need to update Peronist political doctrine to meet modern realities.
The leaders highlighted the impact of corruption, describing it as “the cancer of democracy,” and stressed the importance of restoring ethics to political action. In alignment with the Church's teachings, the group expressed a commitment to fostering broad dialogue among various Peronist sectors and national actors, including business leaders, unions, and religious representatives, to build a new alternative for government.
