Grupo Marina, the company controlling Mall Curicó, has approved a major expansion project for the shopping center in Chile's Maule Region. The investment is valued at 1.2 million UF (approximately 49 billion Chilean pesos) and will be financed through a combination of internal resources and third-party funding.

The project involves constructing roughly 42,000 square meters of new space, which includes 11,000 square meters of leasable commercial area. This expansion is expected to add more than 70 new stores to the existing mall. Additionally, the development will include the construction of nearly 400 new underground parking spaces.

Work is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027, following the awarding of construction contracts. The project is slated for completion and public opening during the second half of 2028. The company stated that the expansion will not affect its ability to meet current financial obligations or debt commitments.
