Grupo Menta musical instruments stolen in San Luis

Musical equipment and instruments belonging to the band Grupo Menta were stolen from a vehicle in San Luis, Argentina. The theft, valued at approximately 10 million pesos, occurred over the weekend after the band performed at the SMATA in the Chacras area.

Thieves forced a window of the band's truck while it was parked on Presidente Perón Avenue. Stolen items include a Korg Kross keyboard, a Yamaha keyboard guitar, a Hohner accordion, and components of a Shure Beta 58 wireless microphone system. Band leader Germán Herrera noted that the accordion held significant sentimental value as it was a gift from his father.

Herrera has filed a police report and is awaiting the review of security camera footage to identify the suspects. Following the incident, some individuals reported seeing someone with musical instruments near the Santa Catalina area. Colleagues have offered to lend instruments to help the band fulfill upcoming musical commitments.
