Grupo Mirgor companies reach labor agreement with UOM Río Grande

The Unión Obrera Metalúrgica (UOM) Río Grande has reached a labor agreement with three companies within Grupo Mirgor—IATEC, Famar, and Brightstar—to implement a significant annual production bonus. The agreement, formalized before the Ministry of Labor, includes a payment exceeding $3,000,000 per worker. Both parties committed to resolving future disputes through direct dialogue to protect automotive production and maintain industrial competitiveness in the province.

However, delegates from Mirgor S.A.C.I.F.I.A. opted not to sign the agreement. As a result, workers at that specific firm are excluded from the annual bonus.

In a related development regarding plant operations in Río Grande, union representative Maximiliano Uriona noted that while a small group of maintenance and engineering staff has returned to the Aires del Sur plant to prepare facilities, most workers remain waiting for a formal agreement to be signed before a full return to activities can occur.
