Cultural and religious festivals held across Brazil and Portugal
Various cultural, religious, and artistic festivals are taking place across Brazil and Portugal.
In Salvador, Brazil, the 18th Japanese Culture Festival attracted approximately 110,000 visitors, featuring traditional music, taiko, martial arts, and cosplay. Meanwhile, the Grupo Ofá project at the Museum of Modern Art of Bahia (MAM Bahia) offers free workshops and musical performances focused on African-descendant traditions.
In Portugal, the 9th Belém Book Festival features nearly 400 authors and includes a tribute to the late writer António Lobo Antunes. Other regional celebrations include the festivities for Nossa Senhora de Aracelis in São Marcos da Ataboeira and Alcaria Ruiva, as well as the religious and musical celebrations for Nossa Senhora da Luz in Lagoa.
