Grupo PIER conducts multi‑specialty health mission in Antofagasta de la Sierra and El Peñón

The Ministry of Health, together with the Grupo PIER (Programa de Integración Educativa Regional) from Buenos Aires, will carry out a three‑day health outreach operation on 5‑7 August in the remote Argentine communities of Antofagasta de la Sierra and El Peñón. Services will be provided at the local hospital and primary schools and include dentistry, pediatrics, cardiology, nutrition, clinical medicine, ophthalmology, gynecology, dermatology, imaging diagnostics and psychological care. Detailed schedules list morning and afternoon sessions for each specialty at the hospital and at primary schools N° 494 (Antofagasta) and N° 142 (El Peñón). The mission aims to reinforce local health systems by delivering comprehensive care directly to residents who have limited access to urban medical facilities.
