Grupo Pluma to invest USD 50 million in Paraguayan poultry industry

The Brazilian company Grupo Pluma Agroavícola has announced a USD 50 million investment to expand the poultry industry in the Caaguazú department of Paraguay. The project will be located in the municipality of Yhú, covering an area of 500 hectares.

The facility is projected to produce 6 million fertile eggs per month, a capacity intended to meet the entire Paraguayan market demand. This development aims to reduce the country's dependence on imported baby chicks by allowing for local reproduction.

The investment also includes the construction of a balanced feed processing plant. This plant is expected to process approximately 3,000 tons of local corn, supporting the rural economy and creating roughly 180 direct jobs.
