Grupo Puntacana wins top hospitality and marketing awards

Carmen Rosa de Torres, sales director for hospitality at Grupo Puntacana, was named Best Champion Independent Hotels at The Idolons 2026, recognizing her work at Tortuga Bay Puntacana. The award marked the first time a Dominican received the honor and highlighted a 41 % increase in production tied to the Serandipians network.

In the same year, Grupo Puntacana’s marketing team earned distinction at the Cannes Lions Dominicana event. Executive marketing director Manuel Sajour was named Person of the Year 2026, while junior team members Stephanie Rodríguez and Rolando Devers secured silver in the Young Marketers category for a socially‑focused campaign addressing issues such as femicide and child abuse.
