Grupo SEB to open Concept school in Arpoador

Grupo SEB has leased the former Colégio São Paulo educational complex in Arpoador to establish a new unit of the Concept school. The facility is scheduled to open in February 2028 and is expected to accommodate up to 800 students, ranging from early childhood education to the 4th year of elementary school.

The 10,000-square-meter space will undergo a complete renovation, featuring a new architectural design by the American firm Perkins&Will. The updated structure will include 34 learning spaces, podcast studios, laboratories, a multi-sport court, and a rooftop café.

The decision to use the site for education concludes a real estate dispute. While the 3,000-square-meter property, valued at R$ 250 million, was considered for a luxury hotel by the Rubaiyat chain, the Congregação das Irmãs Angélicas insisted on preserving the site's educational vocation. The presence of a listed chapel also influenced the decision to maintain the building's original purpose.
