Grupo SID renovates gynecological oncology department in Santo Domingo

The Caminantes por la Vida Foundation, part of Grupo SID, has completed a major renovation of the Dr. Luis B. Rojas Gynecological Oncology Department at the Hospital Maternidad Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia in Santo Domingo.

The project involved modernizing reception and waiting areas, as well as reorganizing and equipping the Cervical Pathology, Mastology, and Gynecological Oncology sections. The upgraded facilities include three sample collection cubicles, a sterilization area, new medical equipment, stretchers, and specialized furniture designed for patient comfort.

In addition to patient areas, the renovation included dedicated spaces for healthcare professionals to improve working conditions and rest areas. The timing of the delivery coincides with October, the month dedicated to breast cancer prevention awareness.
