Grupo Solmar announces leadership changes and expansion plans

Grupo Solmar has announced a management restructuring to strengthen corporate governance and support expansion in Los Cabos. Mauricio Salicrup has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, while Michel Albahari takes on the role of Director of Operations. This leadership change aims to integrate the group’s five decades of experience with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.

The company is also proceeding with a 100 million peso investment program intended to renovate rooms and common areas, as well as expand the Grand Solmar Pacific Dunes Resort Golf & Spa, with projects scheduled through 2030. Grupo Solmar currently operates six hotel complexes, restaurants, and the Solmar Golf Links.

In Argentina, the Free Trade Zone Oversight Committee held its second meeting of the year, chaired by Minister of Production, Commerce, and Industry Nadia Ricci. The committee reviewed progress regarding the activation of the Caleta Olivia Free Trade Zone and unanimously approved the addition of a new permit holder for the Río Gallegos Free Trade Zone to encourage provincial investment.
