Grupo Timber launches Timber Mobility EV charger division in Brazil
Grupo Timber has created Timber Mobility, a new business unit dedicated to supplying electric‑vehicle chargers across Brazil. The division will market both alternating‑current (AC) chargers of 7.4 kW for longer‑parked vehicles and direct‑current (DC) fast chargers ranging from 40 kW up to 400 kW, some equipped with 32‑ or 65‑inch digital screens for out‑of‑home media.
The launch comes as Brazil’s charging network expands to 25,429 public and semi‑public points, of which 8,601 are fast DC chargers. In the last three months the share of DC chargers grew from 30.8 % to 33.8 %, reflecting rising demand from fleets, corporate users and charge‑point operators. Timber Mobility’s equipment supports the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) and offers 4G/Wi‑Fi connectivity, remote monitoring and customizable lighting. Initial sales will focus on the South and Southeast regions, with the company providing end‑to‑end support from site assessment to after‑sales service.
