Grupo Toky faces revenue drop and stock shortages amid judicial recovery

Grupo Toky, the parent company of Tok&Stok and Mobly, is facing significant operational and financial challenges following its judicial recovery filing. The company reported a 37.3% drop in net revenue for the second quarter of 2026, while total transaction volume fell by 31.9% compared to the previous year.

Stock shortages have severely impacted sales. Following the company's request for judicial recovery in May, suppliers became cautious, leading to interrupted supplies, delivery delays, and increased order cancellations. To combat declining sales, Mobly has increased its discount strategies, which has pressured profitability and reduced the consolidated gross margin to 52.1%.

In a recent shift in ownership, Paladino Capital acquired approximately 13.21% of Grupo Toky shares, while Soller Participações now holds about 17.58%. Meanwhile, funds managed by DSK Capital have exited their positions entirely, and SPX Private Equity funds sold 11.49% of their holdings. The group cited a challenging macroeconomic environment, including high interest rates and restricted consumer credit, as key factors contributing to its debt, which exceeds R$ 1 billion.
