Grupo UBEC celebrates 54 years of educational mission

The União Brasileira de Educação Católica (UBEC) is celebrating 54 years of operation, reaffirming its commitment to using education as a tool for social transformation and human dignity.

To mark the anniversary, a Eucharistic celebration was held, led by Padre Anselmo Nascimento, Vice President of the UBEC Administrative Council. He emphasized the importance of the institution's mission and its ability to work collectively toward a common goal.

As part of its expansion, UBEC recently inaugurated Colégio Católica São José in Cruzeiro do Sul, Acre. This is the group's first entirely philanthropic unit, providing free technical high school education to students in vulnerable social situations. The school currently has 99 students enrolled and has generated 26 new jobs in the region through a partnership with the local Diocese. Additionally, a social hub for Católica EaD, part of the Universidade Católica de Brasília (UCB), has been established at the site to offer distance learning undergraduate courses.
