Grupo Zaimella assumes administration of Sociedad Deportiva Aucas

The Zaimella business group has officially taken over the administration of Sociedad Deportiva Aucas, a historic football club based in Quito, Ecuador. This development follows weeks of reported advanced negotiations regarding the acquisition of shares in the club.

Founded in 1995 by Italian-Venezuelan businessman Giovanni Di Mella, the Zaimella conglomerate specializes in personal care and hygiene products. The group already owns Vinotinto del Ecuador, a club that originated as Cuniburo. With this move, the group will manage two different football institutions within the capital city while maintaining their distinct sporting identities.

While the management transition is confirmed, there have been no immediate announcements regarding changes to the club's board of directors, coaching staff, or specific sporting projects. Aucas will continue to play its home matches at the Gonzalo Pozo Ripalda stadium.
