Gruppo Cap begins construction on Calderara Water Park

Construction is set to begin on Monday, October 26, for the Calderara Water Park – Seveso River Park project. Promoted by Gruppo Cap, the initiative aims to transform approximately 10 hectares into a multifunctional public space that integrates rainwater management with landscape redevelopment.

The project involves an investment exceeding 11.2 million euros. Funding includes over 7.5 million euros from the Integrated Water Service tariff and 3.7 million euros from the Lombardy Region. The development will feature pedestrian and cycling paths, rest areas, wetlands, and a permanent lake.

Designed to improve local hydraulic safety, the system will manage up to 12,200 cubic meters of water by intercepting urban overflow through a coordinated network of collection, treatment, and infiltration works. The construction phase is expected to last approximately 22 months, beginning with site preparation, cleaning, and archaeological excavations.
