Gruppo Magis inaugurates large photovoltaic plant in Trissino

Gruppo Magis has inaugurated a new photovoltaic plant in Trissino, located in the province of Vicenza. The facility is built on a former marble landfill, repurposing land that previously had no productive use without occupying agricultural territory.

According to Stefano Fracasso, Vice President of Gruppo Magis, the plant is the largest of its kind in the Veneto region to be constructed on a decommissioned site. The facility is already connected to the electrical grid and is estimated to produce enough energy to meet the annual consumption of approximately 4,000 families.

Fracasso noted that the project aims to provide low-cost clean energy to help reduce utility bills for businesses and households. He also highlighted the potential for utilizing other exhausted quarries and landfills in the Vicenza area to accelerate the energy transition.
