Grzegorz Borowik appointed new parish priest in Częstochowa

Father Grzegorz Borowik has been officially installed as the new parish priest of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Częstochowa. The installation mass was presided over by Archbishop Wacław Depo.

Father Borowik previously served as a vicar at the St. Stanislaus Kostka parish in Częstochowa and spent five years working as a notary and collaborator at the Metropolitan Curia. Archbishop Depo noted the strategic importance of the parish, as it is situated at the intersection of pilgrimage routes leading to Jasna Góra.

In his remarks, Father Borowik described the parish as an ‘eastern gate’ to Częstochowa and a sanctuary for pilgrims. He emphasized the community's mission to maintain hospitality and kindness toward those traveling to Jasna Góra.
