Grzegorz Lato reacts to Lewandowski's hat-trick in Poland's 6-0 win

Following Poland's 6-0 victory over Romania in the Nations League, former national team star Grzegorz Lato offered a tempered assessment of captain Robert Lewandowski's performance.

Previously, Lato had been highly critical of Lewandowski, suggesting the striker should retire to preserve his legacy and noting a perceived lack of effort on the pitch. However, after Lewandowski scored a hat-trick and demonstrated increased mobility during the match against Romania, Lato acknowledged a visible improvement in the player's work rate. While praising the specific performance, Lato maintained a cautious stance, noting that the team's success was also driven by other players and the advantage of playing with an extra man for much of the match.
