Grzegorz Mart discusses photographing classical music

Photographer Grzegorz Mart, a specialist in classical music photography in Poland, discusses his artistic approach and decade-long involvement with institutions such as the National Philharmonic and NOSPR.

Mart explains that while music itself cannot be photographed, he captures the human elements surrounding its creation, including gestures, tension, and focus. His work has evolved from capturing large-scale concert scenes to documenting small, fleeting moments between musicians. He is also working on a new artistic project using acrylic to represent the spaces between sounds.
