Polish singer‑songwriter Grzegorz Turnau has spoken publicly about two noteworthy family events. His father, Professor Stefan Turnau – a renowned mathematician – left his wife in the mid‑1990s to marry a younger woman. The new marriage produced a son who, because Grzegorz's daughter Antonina was already six years old, is younger than his own child, leading the musician to note that “my daughter is older than my half‑brother.”

Later, Antonina Turnau entered a relationship with veteran actor Marek Kondrat, who is nearly four decades her senior. Grzegorz initially expressed concern that media focus on the age difference might eclipse his daughter's achievements. After the couple married in 2015, Turnau said the age gap no longer mattered and praised the family’s harmony. Antonina and Marek now have a daughter, Helena, who is affectionately mentioned by her grandfather, Professor Turnau.
