GS Engineering & Construction partners with AusNet for Australian energy projects

GS Engineering & Construction (GS E&C) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with AusNet, a major energy grid operator in Victoria, Australia, to collaborate on energy and infrastructure projects.

The two companies are currently participating together in the bidding process for the New England Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) project, a large-scale clean energy initiative led by the New South Wales (NSW) government. Moving forward, they are exploring joint participation in major transmission network projects in both New South Wales and Victoria through joint ventures or consortiums.

Beyond transmission networks, the partnership aims to explore opportunities in upgrading existing grids, developing offshore wind-connected networks, and expanding into new sectors such as data centers, hydrogen, and water resource infrastructure. GS E&C intends to leverage its existing experience in Australian transport infrastructure, including the Melbourne North East Link and the Suburban Rail Loop, to diversify its business portfolio into the energy sector.
