GSEVEE introduces KANON certification for small producers

During the 34th Koilas Trade, Industrial, and Agricultural Exhibition, GSEVEE presented the ‘KANON’ mark to local producers in Western Macedonia. The initiative, led by the Urban Non-Profit Company ‘KANON’, serves as an official certification center for monastic goods and small-scale production products.

The primary goal of the certification is to support local production and protect it from the unauthorized use of terms such as ‘monastic’ or ‘small producer product’ by third parties. By providing this mark, the organization aims to highlight the origin, tradition, and superior quality of authentic goods, thereby strengthening consumer trust.

Eligibility for the KANON mark is open to individual producers, chambers, cooperatives, production groups, and sacred monasteries, provided they meet the necessary criteria. The presentation was welcomed by Ioannis Mitliagkas, President of the Kozani Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
